When a person suffers from dementia, it is important that they organise their financial and legal affairs while they are still able to do so.

What to do

  • Talk about the situation in the family and make a plan for the future handling of the families financial affairs.
  • Take the opportunity to book a meeting with your bank and discuss the situation.
  • Arrange for a power of attorney to someone that you trust.
  • Inform the relevant contacts about the situation to prevent from mistakes to happen.
